Student Support Services

At Al Ittihad National Private School, we recognize that high-quality classroom practice is the key to improving learning and student achievement. As students have diverse learning capabilities, differentiation is essential in matching learning opportunities with individual learning needs. The school uses various internal assessments as well as diagnostic and standardized tools such as baseline tests, CAT4, WIDA, MAP tests, etc. to identify the needs of the students, track their progress, and design intervention plans.

We believe that all students have the right to have access to the support programs available at school.  Our goal is to ensure that all students have access to the curriculum, reach their full potential and make adequate progress.

In some cases where students require instruction beyond regular teaching practices, the following strategies will be implemented:

  • Providing appropriate resources

  • Adapting appropriate activities

  • Promoting independent choice/personalized learning

  • Offering adaptations as needed

Learning support/intervention is initiated for students who are still experiencing difficulties.  Support programs will be provided to students as small groups or individuals, inside or outside the classroom. The program will take place during teaching hours, or after school. The support will be provided by the School Support Team (teachers, support teachers, assistant teachers, or special educational needs teachers) as per the students’ needs.
